Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Manager – Vendor Development & Strategic Sourcing to strengthen our procurement and vendor ecosystem in the EV, Solar, PCBs, Transformers, and Plastics categories. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and retaining cost-effective suppliers, while ensuring high standards of quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
This role will be pivotal in driving cost optimization, vendor diversification, and supply chain resilience, while building strong, long-term supplier relationships. Immediate joiners are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Development
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in EV, Solar, PCB, Transformer, and Plastic categories.
• Conduct supplier capability assessments, audits, and qualification for compliance with quality and operational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to ensure performance, efficiency, and innovation.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Lead price negotiations and contract finalizations to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Build a strong and competitive vendor base to mitigate supply risks and ensure business continuity.
• Monitor market trends, raw material pricing, and emerging supplier capabilities to ensure best-in-class sourcing.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
• Maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure supplier alignment with project requirements.
• Act as the single point of contact for escalations and supplier performance issues.
Performance & Compliance
• Ensure all vendors comply with regulatory, safety, and ethical standards.
• Track and monitor supplier KPIs including cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
• Present supplier performance reviews and cost optimization reports to management.
Qualifications & Experience
• B.Tech / MBA in Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in vendor development, sourcing, or supplier management (preferably in EV, Solar, Electronics, or Manufacturing industries).
• Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor development expertise.
• Proven success in building supplier ecosystems for cost efficiency and reliability.
Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and decision-making skills.
