Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Collections will be responsible for leading and executing the end-to-end collections process for corporate clients, agencies, and partners associated with Manufacturing projects. This role requires a strong, articulate, and confident individual—preferably a female candidate with prior experience in the Manufacturing industry who understands project-based billing cycles, financial workflows, and client dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the end-to-end collection process for all projects and corporate clients.
Ensure payments are collected as per contractual milestones, advances, and post-schedules.
Manage escalated or overdue accounts professionally and assertively.
Build strong rapport with client-side finance teams and procurement teams to expedite payment cycles.
Conduct regular follow-up calls, emails, and meetings with key clients to recover outstanding dues.
Address payment queries, disputes, or discrepancies with clarity and diplomacy.
Maintain positive client relationships while ensuring adherence to payment commitments.
Represent the company professionally during client visits or financial discussions.
Coordinate with the accounts team to ensure timely invoice generation and dispatch.
Verify budgets, cost sheets, and approvals before raising invoices.
Maintain accurate documentation including invoice trackers, payment receipts, credit notes, and contracts.
Ensure compliance with tax requirements (GST, TDS, etc.) and follow up on related documentation.
Maintain and update collection MIS including: Outstanding dashboards, Aging reports, Client-wise collection status, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
4–7 years of experience in collections, receivables, or client finance, preferably in the Manufacturing Industry.
Strong command over English and Hindi; excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, billing tools, and basic accounting principles.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and client escalations with confidence.
Strong personality with the ability to push for timelines while maintaining professionalism.
