Job Description
Field Service Engineer – Solar & EV Charger
Key Responsibilities
1. Installation & Commissioning
- Install and commission solar inverters, solar panels, and EV charging stations at client sites.
- Ensure proper electrical connections, grounding, and system configuration.
- Conduct site inspections before installation.
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of solar systems and EV chargers.
- Diagnose faults in inverters, cables, batteries, chargers, and communication systems.
- Repair or replace defective components.
3. Testing & System Performance
- Conduct system performance testing after installation.
- Monitor system output and charging efficiency.
- Ensure systems meet safety and performance standards.
4. Customer Support
- Provide technical support to customers at site.
- Explain system operation and basic troubleshooting to clients.
- Handle service complaints and resolve issues quickly.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain service reports, installation reports, and maintenance logs.
- Update service status in CRM or service management systems.
- Submit daily or weekly field activity reports.
6. Coordination
- Coordinate with technical team, project team, and warehouse for spare parts and technical support.
- Support project team during solar plant or EV charger commissioning.
