About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to drive channel sales for Lithium Batteries across E-Rickshaw and Inverter segments. The role involves strengthening distribution networks, enhancing dealer engagement, and promoting lithium battery adoption over conventional alternatives.
Key Responsibilities
A. E-Rickshaw Lithium Battery Channel Sales
- Identify and onboard financially strong distributors and dealers.
- Collaborate closely with distributor sales teams to increase counter share at dealer outlets.
- Ensure consistent stock rotation across the channel.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners; act as the first point of contact for resolving issues related to margins, warranties, and logistics.
- Plan and execute BTL (Below-The-Line) marketing activities.
- Organize Electrician Meets / Mechanic Meets to educate influencers on the benefits of lithium batteries over lead-acid alternatives.
- Monitor distributor stock levels to avoid stock-outs and ensure timely replenishment.
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy receivables.
- Conduct product training sessions for channel partners on:
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Safety protocols
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
B. Inverter Lithium Battery Channel Sales
- Identify and onboard financially sound distributors and dealers.
- Work closely with distributor teams to enhance dealer-level sales performance.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and availability.
- Maintain strong relationships with channel partners and resolve operational issues efficiently.
- Execute BTL marketing initiatives to drive product awareness and sales.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely collections.
- Conduct training programs for channel partners focusing on:
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Safety standards
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Key Requirements
- 4–10 years of experience in channel sales (preferably in batteries, automotive, inverter, or energy sector).
- Strong network in distributor/dealer ecosystem.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in BTL activities and field activation programs.
- Technical understanding of lithium batteries and related systems is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
