Job Description: AVP – Channel Sales (Solar)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic AVP – Channel Sales to lead and expand our channel sales network in the solar industry. The candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through distributors, dealers, and partners while managing large teams and ensuring market penetration across regions.
Key Responsibilities
Channel Development & Expansion - Develop and implement channel sales strategies to achieve business targets - Identify, onboard, and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners - Strengthen partner network to enhance market reach and penetration Sales & Revenue Management - Drive revenue growth through effective channel management - Ensure achievement of sales targets (monthly, quarterly, annual) - Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions Team Leadership - Lead, mentor, and manage regional/channel sales teams - Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive team productivity - Build a high-performance sales culture Market & Business Development - Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs - Identify new business opportunities in solar EPC, rooftop, and EV charging segments - Collaborate with marketing for lead generation and brand visibility Relationship Management - Maintain strong relationships with key channel partners and stakeholders - Resolve escalations and ensure partner satisfaction - Negotiate commercial terms and agreements Operational Excellence - Ensure smooth order execution, collections, and inventory management - Coordinate with internal teams (operations, service, finance) - Maintain compliance with company policies and processes Travel Extensive travel required for partner meetings, market visits, and team reviews
Key Requirements
- Experience: 18–22 years in channel sales, preferably in solar / renewable energy industry - Strong experience in managing large distributor/dealer networks - Proven track record of achieving high revenue targets - Prior experience in team handling (multi-location teams) - Strong understanding of solar products (modules, inverters, EPC, EV chargers) - Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills - Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Business - MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred
