Chief of Staff – MD Office (Execution, Strategy & Transformation)
ROLE OBJECTIVE
Act as the execution engine of the MD Office, ensuring that:
- Strategic priorities are translated into measurable outcomes
- Cross-functional initiatives are driven with accountability
- Organizational execution speed, discipline, and visibility improves significantly
This is not a support role — it is a high ownership, high accountability role.

- Reports to: Managing Director
- Works closely with: EA to MD, Program Managers, Functional Heads
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES 1. MD Office Governance & Execution Control
- Convert MD priorities into weekly/monthly execution plans
- Run structured review cadences (WBR / MBR)
- Track key decisions → ensure closure, not discussion
- Prepare sharp, data-backed executive briefs
2. Strategic Initiative Ownership
- Own and drive company-wide strategic programs:
- Revenue scale-up initiatives
- EV / Solar expansion programs
- Cost optimization & margin improvement
- Ensure:
- Clear ownership
- Defined timelines
- Measurable KPIs
- Act as single point of accountability for execution
3. Cross-Functional Alignment
- Break silos between:
- Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D
- Resolve execution bottlenecks in real time
- Drive alignment between department goals & company targets
4. Business Performance & KPI Tracking
- Design and monitor company-wide dashboards
- Track:
- Revenue vs target
- Project execution status
- Collections & working capital
- Operational efficiency metrics
- Highlight:
- Risks
- Delays
- Underperformance
→ with action plans, not just reporting
5. Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies across functions
- Standardize workflows and introduce execution discipline
- Reduce:
- Delays
- Dependency gaps
- Manual inefficiencies
6. Digital & AI Transformation
- Lead adoption of:
- AI tools for reporting & decision-making
- Automation in workflows (HRMS, CRM, MIS, dashboards)
- Build data-driven decision culture
- Drive measurable improvements through digital initiatives
7. Leadership Influence & Stakeholder Management
- Act as extension of MD in execution forums
- Challenge function heads where needed (constructively)
- Ensure commitment → accountability → delivery cycle

CANDIDATE PROFILE Must Have
- 10–15+ years experience in:
- Strategy / Operations / Program Management / Consulting
- Proven track record of:
- Driving cross-functional execution
- Managing leadership stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking + structured problem solving
- High ownership mindset (execution > presentation)
