Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Site Engineer to oversee the installation, commissioning,and maintenance of EV Charging Stations across multiple sites in India. The role requiresstrong technical skills, on-ground execution experience, and coordination with vendors,contractors, and government authorities (DISCOM, Electrical Inspectorate, etc.) to ensuresmooth project delivery.Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution & Installation
- Supervise on-site installation and commissioning of EV charging stations, electrical
- panels, transformers, cabling, and associated civil/electrical works.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for timely execution.
2. BOQ & Documentation
- Prepare and validate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for materials and services required at site.
- Verify contractor/vendor billing against actual work executed.
- Maintain site records, drawings, and as-built documentation.
3. Maintenance & Support
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of EV chargers, electrical systems, and site infrastructure.
- Respond to breakdowns and ensure quick resolution to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support to the operations team for ongoing site management.
4. Liaison with Authorities (DISCOM & Others)
- Apply and follow up for DISCOM electricity connections and necessary approvals (load sanction, metering, HT/LT connections).
- Coordinate with local authorities, municipal bodies, and regulatory agencies for statutory approvals.
- Ensure compliance with CEA/CEIG and other regulatory requirements.
5. Project Coordination
- Support Project Manager in planning and scheduling project timelines.
- Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and load assessments.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and requirements to stakeholders.
Qualifications & SkillsEducation: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.Experience: 2–5 years in electrical projects (preferably in EV charging, renewable energy, power distribution, or similar industries).Technical Skills:
- o Knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems, transformers, DG sets, switchgear, and cabling.
- o Familiarity with EV chargers, OCPP, and electrical load management (preferred).
- o Strong understanding of BOQ preparation, AutoCAD drawings, and MS Office.
Other Skills:
- o Strong site execution and project management capability.
- o Good communication and vendor management skills.
- o Ability to travel extensively across project locations.
