Job Description
Project Head – Renewable EPC (Solar / EV / Power Infra)
Location: Delhi NCR / Pan India Reports to: Managing Director / CEO
Role Purpose
To lead end-to-end execution of Servotech’s renewable energy Projects portfolio (~n300 Cr approx
annually) and build a disciplined, scalable project delivery engine that protects margins, timelines
and reputation.
This role is accountable for on-time, on-budget, high-quality project delivery across India.
Business Outcomes This Role Owns
The Project Head will:
Deliver 90–95% projects on time
Keep cost overruns <2–3%
Reduce LDs, penalties & rework
Improve gross margins through execution discipline
Build a strong bench of Project Managers & Site Heads
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution Leadership
Own all projects from:
LOI
Mobilization
Execution
Commissioning
Handover
Create clear execution plans, site strategies and schedules
Review weekly & monthly project performance
2. Planning, Monitoring & Control
Approve:
Project budgets
Resource plans
Material schedules
Track:
Progress vs baseline
Cost vs budget
Billing vs completion
Drive corrective actions when projects slip
3. Cost & Margin Protection
Control:
BOQs
Subcontractor spend
Procurement discipline
Prevent:
Scope leakage
Idle manpower
Delays causing LDs
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as senior escalation point for:
PSU clients
DISCOMs
Developers
C&I; customers
Handle:
Delay justifications
Variation orders
Final acceptance & handover
5. Team & Contractor Management
Lead:
Project Managers
Construction Managers
Planning Engineers
Site teams
Build a culture of accountability & delivery
Remove weak performers
6. Systems & Process Building
Set up:
Project MIS
Cost tracking
Delay analysis
Site reporting discipline
Introduce:
Risk registers
Progress dashboards
Handover checklists
7. Procurement, Dispatch & Vendor Ecosystem Ownership
The Project Head will be accountable for end-to-end material flow across all projects, ensuring:
Right material ® Right site ® Right time ® Right cost
A. Purchase & Cost Control
Approve all:
Major project POs
Rate contracts
Subcontractor agreements
Ensure:
Competitive vendor pricing
Cost benchmarking
Bulk procurement advantage across projects
Prevent:
Ad-hoc buying
Emergency purchases
Margin leakage
B. Dispatch & Site Logistics
Own dispatch planning linked to:
Project schedules
Site readiness
Cash flow
Ensure:
No early dispatch causing damage or pilferage
No late dispatch causing site idle time
Control:
Material movement
Transit losses
Shortages & excesses
C. Vendor & Subcontractor Development
Build a reliable vendor ecosystem for:
Modules
Inverters
Structures
Cables
Transformers
Civil & erection contractors
Rate, rank & rationalize vendors based on:
Quality
Delivery
Cost
After-sales support
Reduce dependency on risky suppliers
D. Cross-Functional Control
Align:
Procurement
Stores
Dispatch
Finance
Site teams
Ensure:
Materials match BOQ
Invoices match deliveries

Experience
15–20 years in:
Solar EPC
Power projects
Electrical infrastructure
Has led:150–400 Cr project portfolios
Multiple sites simultaneously
Technical Strength
Project planning (MSP / Primavera)
Costing & BOQs
EPC contracts & LDs
Electrical + civil coordination
Grid & commissioning
