Role Title: Electrical Engineer - Solar Power Plant (Inverter Specialist)
Core Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and engineer electrical systems for solar power projects, with a focus on inverter integration, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and safety.
· Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of inverters and associated balance of system (BOS) equipment.
· Perform regular inspection, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all solar plant components, specifically focusing on inverters, to ensure optimal performance.
· Monitor plant performance using SCADA or other monitoring systems, analyze generation data, and conduct performance analysis to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
· Ensure all electrical works and installations comply with relevant local and international electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, NEC), and safety regulations.
· Collaborate with project managers, other engineers (civil, mechanical), contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, maintenance logs, and performance reports.
· Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and maintenance staff on inverter operation and troubleshooting.

· System Performance and Availability: Minimize generation loss and maximize the technical availability and efficiency of the inverters and overall plant.
· Maintenance Efficiency: Develop and implement effective preventive maintenance schedules, leading to a reduction in unplanned outages and equipment downtime.
· Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all inverter-related activities, from installation to maintenance, adhere to quality control plans, safety norms (HSE guidelines), and industry standards.
· Troubleshooting & Resolution: Prompt and efficient diagnosis and resolution of electrical faults in inverters and related systems to minimize operational disruption.
· Documentation & Reporting Accuracy: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and provide timely performance and status reports to management.
· Cost Management: Contribute to cost control efforts by managing spare parts inventory efficiently and identifying opportunities for improving maintenance processes.
