Role Overview 

Servotech is seeking a visionary and high-octane Associate Vice President (AVP) or Vice President (VP) of Channel Sales to spearhead our Lithium-ion battery vertical / division. As we pivot the market from traditional Lead-acid to advanced Lithium storage solutions, you will be the primary architect of our distribution network. 

You will leverage your deep-rooted relationships in the battery and power backup industry to build a robust, pan-India channel ecosystem that drives exponential revenue growth. 

Core Responsibilities 

1.       Strategic Leadership: Design and execute a comprehensive channel sales strategy for Lithium-ion batteries across residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) segments. 
2.       Network Expansion: Identify, onboard, and manage Tier-1 distributors and Tier-2 dealers. You will be responsible for converting traditional Lead-acid channel partners to Servotech’s Lithium ecosystem. 
3.       Revenue Ownership: Own the Revenue for the channel business. Set aggressive sales targets, manage forecasting, and ensure consistent month-on-month growth. 
4.       Market Positioning: Position Servotech’s Lithium solutions against traditional Lead-acid incumbents by highlighting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), efficiency, and lifecycle benefits. 
5.       Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing regional sales team, providing them with the tools and technical training necessary to close complex deals. 
6.       Competitor Intelligence: Keep a pulse on market trends, pricing shifts, and competitor movements within both the Lithium and Lead-acid spaces. 

Required Qualifications & Skills 

1.       Industry Pedigree: A minimum of 12 years in sales, with a significant portion dedicated to the Lithium-ion battery sectors (e.g., Exide, Amaron, Luminous, Microtek, etc.). 
2.       Channel Expertise: Proven track record of managing large-scale dealer/distributor networks and implementing secondary sales tracking. 
3.       Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of battery chemistry, BMS (Battery Management Systems), and integration with solar inverters/EV chargers. 
4.       Education: MBA from a Tier-1/Tier-2 institute; an Engineering degree (B.Tech/BE) is preferred. 

Soft Skills: A "hunter" mindset, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders at the distributorship level.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

1.       Channel Depth: Number of active Lithium-certified dealers onboarded quarterly. 
2.       Revenue Growth: Achievement of MoM and YoY sales targets for the Lithium segment. 
3.       Market Share: Percentage growth of Servotech Lithium products vs. Lead-acid alternatives in key territories. 
4.       Collection Efficiency: Maintaining a healthy AR (Accounts Receivable) cycle across the channel.
