NPI Manager
Servotech Renewable Power System Limited
Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced New Product Introduction (NPI) Manager to lead the end-to-end industrialization of electronic products from design handoff through to stable mass production. The ideal candidate is hands-on across SMT, Manual Insertion (MI), and Assembly processes, with strong capabilities in NPI data management, cross-functional coordination, and client-facing communication and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
NPI Process & Production
• Lead NPI activities for new electronic products from prototype / EVT through PVT to mass production (MP) handoff.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across SMT, Manual Insertion (MI), and Assembly lines — including line setup, first-article inspection, and process troubleshooting.
• Drive DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturability / Assembly) reviews with design and engineering teams to optimize products for production.
• Develop and validate manufacturing documentation: Work Instructions, Process Flow Diagrams, BOMs, Control Plans, and PFMEA.
• Plan and execute pilot / trial runs, capture build data, and resolve issues before volume ramp-up.
• Establish and monitor process parameters, cycle time, line balancing, takt time, FPY, and yield improvement.
NPI Data Management
• Own and maintain NPI data: BOM control, ECN/ECO management, revision tracking, and build records.
• Manage NPI gate / phase documentation and ensure timely deliverables across each stage gate.
• Track KPIs (FPY, yield, defect rates, cycle time, OTD) and maintain program visibility.
• Ensure traceability and accuracy of all production and quality data.
Client Communication & Presentation
• Serve as the primary technical interface with customers throughout the NPI lifecycle.
• Prepare and deliver clear program status updates, build reports, and technical presentations to clients and internal leadership.
• Coordinate customer reviews, design freezes, and production-readiness sign-offs.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable manufacturing plans.
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Lead cross-functional NPI teams spanning engineering, quality, supply chain, production, and test.
• Coordinate material readiness, tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for new builds.
• Drive timely resolution of technical and schedule risks.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). • 12+ years in electronics manufacturing, with 8+ years in an NPI / program management role. • Hands-on expertise in SMT, Manual Insertion (MI), and Assembly processes. • Strong working knowledge of NPI methodologies: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, DFM/DFA, CTQ, FPY, OEE. • Proven experience in NPI data management, BOM/ECN control, and documentation. • Excellent client communication and presentation skills. • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP/MES systems.
Preferred Qualifications.
• Familiarity with EMS/OEM environments and customer-facing program management. • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing certification. • Experience in solar inverter, EV charger, battery, or power electronics product lines.
Key Competencies
• Strong technical problem-solving on the shop floor. • Data-driven decision-making and KPI ownership. • Clear, confident communicator with both clients and internal teams. • Ability to manage multiple programs under tight timelines.
